Loki dismissed the guards from the room shortly after the last batch of malcontents left. He was through holding any semblance of court for the day. He had his own schemes to further and he preferred a complete solitude when inwardly focused on his thoughts. The newly appointed king considered retiring to his personal chambers as he would normally do for privacy but he had held the throne for all of a day so far. He was too fascinated with his new view, his title, his power to leave from this grand post just yet. Let him bask in the glory a little while longer. He had craved this for too long to simply walk out just yet.

It was his, all of it his, for now, and he wanted every moment of it. He knew when the Allfather awoke he would have little time for such guilty pleasure. He would be busy holding his schemes in place with pretty words and lavishing tales of his exploits while the true king slept. He would have to make certain the Allfather knew just exactly how Loki had felt every step of the way to prove his actions were all for the best even if the old fool had his suspicions.

But that was to come later. Loki had other concerns to finalize first while the one-eyed god slumbered away in his semi-aware state. When the last guard exited the room, Loki slumped back into the throne carelessly, attempting to get comfortable in the hard seat and closed his eyes and mind from the world around him as he went over the enticing words he would soon spin to the jotunn king.

When Coulson arrived at home that evening the first thing he would notice was the smell. The aroma of a freshly cooked meal wafted through the entire apartment. Raun was sitting primly on the back of the couch, decked in a small blue ribbon tied into a bow much as the first day Coulson had seen him. He had a card beneath his paws that read "happy birthday daddy housekeeper" scribbled in horrible writing on it. He waited impatiently for Coulson to come to him.

Loki was further back in the apartment, near the food set out on the table. He was impeccably dressed in Midgardian clothes, a dark suit and tie with green highlights wherever possible. He seemed to be waiting as well though his attention was purposefully kept more towards the food and studying its placement as if something were off about it. Which, there wasn't. Though it was doubtful that he cooked the meal himself it was also impossible to tell at first glance due to a lack of take-out evidence. It was much along the manner of how many of the meals on vacation had been set out.

Loki pushed the archer backwards till the mortal's back was pressed up against the wall, then he pushed a little harder. He pressed his whole body against the shorter man and rubbed appreciatively against his captive. He was moving slow and steady for the moment. Now, while he still had half the mind to control himself.

He was still debating on how to proceed. He wanted to enjoy this night.

Loki had used the disguise before to roam the halls of SHIELD so he saw no reason why not to use it once more. He would be noticed more readily--but let's face it, his female form was meant to turn heads--but he wasn't worried about it. He would be in and out quickly. The trickiest part he had to tackle was getting into the computer systems without triggering an alarm. Loki was confident that he could manage it.

Fortunately, or unfortunately, the easiest way to do so was to go to Coulson's office and use the top agent's computer to access the files he wanted. The risk was twofold: he had to avoid Coulson, and he had to avoid drawing suspicion to the agent. Loki was no techno-wizard but he was fairly certain he'd mastered his spells enough to work flawlessly on mortal technology by this point in time. It was a risk he was apparently willing to take.

So, since Loki was aware that Coulson never hardly ever took a lunch break he made his own distraction force the agent to leave his office. Then the lady god walked right in and took the seat behind the desk. And worked her magic.

Loki found himself bored during the days more often than not. So, he when he got restless he went out in search of entertainment before he drove Raun to insanity with his fidgeting. The kitten was very astute to the energies around him and Loki was aware that his wasn't always the best to be around. With a farewell pat to Raun, he left in a blink of the eye.

That was how the day went on the day that Loki came home with a teddy bear clutched to her chest, grinning ear to ear as she presented it to Coulson. She plopped it on his lap and waited for the inevitable questions.

Loki didn't leave the apartment all day in part fear that Barton would attempt to escape somehow. He already knew he was going to get into trouble for what he'd done, he certainly didn't need to loose the archer on top of the impromptu transformation spell he'd cast to turn the agent into a white tiger cub. He didn't mind being stuck inside all day on this particular eve though as the entertainment value provided by Barton's defiant attitude and Raun's eager attempts to get the cub to play with him were priceless.

By the end of the day Raun had begun to settle down and when Loki took a relaxed seat on the couch the kitten was almost instantly there to lie down in his lap. The Trickster god petted idly at the kitten's soft fur as he kept a deceptively lidded eye on the tiger cub.

Coulson would be home soon. Loki couldn't be more overjoyed by the prospect.
