He had missed that laugh. It was a rare and beautiful sound that Loki had come to cherish more than he realized. It made him happy. It caused him to laugh in turn, to share his glee with someone who appreciated it.
He danced with his partner in the dimming light of sunset until there was no more sunlight left at all. And then he bade them dance just a little longer.
